Vehicle Rental Terms

Welcome to Crete. Our goal is to provide a smooth, transparent and enjoyable rental experience with no hidden surprises.

1. Driver Requirements

• Minimum driver age: 23 years.
• Driver must hold a valid driving license for at least 2 years.
• International Driving Permit may be required for non-EU licenses.

2. Vehicle Delivery & Return

Vehicles are delivered clean and in proper operating condition. The renter agrees to return the vehicle:

• on the agreed date and time
• in similar condition
• with the agreed fuel level

3. Reservation & Cancellation

• Free cancellation up to 48 hours before pickup.
• Last-minute cancellations or no-shows may result in partial or full reservation charges.
• Flight delays are monitored whenever possible and handled flexibly.

4. Insurance & Excess

The vehicle is covered by Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) insurance with a €500 excess.

The CDW does not cover:

• Personal belongings
• Windscreens and windows
• Tyres and wheels
• Undercarriage damage
• Towing or recovery costs
• Damage caused while driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Loss or damage of the vehicle key

5. Additional Charges & Responsibilities

Additional charges may apply if:

• The vehicle is returned later than the agreed date or time.
• The return location is changed without prior approval.
• The vehicle is returned with less fuel than at the time of collection.
• The vehicle requires excessive cleaning beyond normal use.

The renter is fully responsible for all traffic violations, fines and penalties incurred during the rental period.

6. Geographic Limits

The vehicle may not be taken outside the island of Crete or transported by ferry without the prior written consent of the owner.

7. Agreement Confirmation

By signing this agreement, the renter confirms that:

• They have received a copy of this Rental Agreement.
• They have read and accepted the General Terms and Conditions.
• They have inspected the vehicle and accepted its condition as indicated above.
• They agree to return the vehicle in the same condition, except for normal wear and tear.
